Hello, Cougar Family!

Although born in Cleveland, Ohio, I have lived in Georgia for the past 25 years. This is my 14th year teaching in Douglas County School System and my 7th at AHS. I am obsessed with anything British and I love welcoming Seniors into my room, lovingly called "Teeny, Tiny England." I look forward to another amazing year as the Student Government advisor as we once again host this year's Homecoming Week celebrations, including our "Under the Sea" HOCO dance!

Educating students and mentoring teachers is my passion. In addition to my teaching and advisory duties, I serve as the AHS ELA Department Chair and co-ELA Content Specialist for DCSS. In addition, I am honored to have won the Douglas County School System Teacher of the Year in 2014-15.

I reside in Douglas County with my husband, Matt, a 25 year DCSS veteran (who teaches at CHHS), and our son (Landon) who works as a DCSS IT Analyst for 3 elementary schools in the system. The joy of our family is our 5 year old black labrador, Boo Bear Radley, who loves to chase balls and get into trouble. We also enjoy boating, traveling, and exploring amazing eateries.
