Bobby Tillman’s Family, Inc. (BFAM, Inc.) is pleased to announce that it is accepting applications for The Bobby Tillman Scholarship. Bobby Tillman graduated from Chapel Hill High School in May of 2010. However, Bobby was much more than a student; he was a friend to everyone, a helper in every situation, a supporter of all, and a loving child of GOD. Bobby loved his life and his education. On November 7, 2010, Bobby’s life was taken due to a senseless act of violence, yet his Spirit and energy still lives within us. Since he is not here to experience the success of an education, his family, through BFAM, Inc., has promised to help other youths that have the determination and passion to further their education.
The Bobby Tillman Scholarship is eligible to high school seniors with preparations to further his/her education at a four-year College/University or Technical/Trade school. The applicants must write a proposal for eligibility. Each application must be accompanied by two letters of recommendation. These recommendations may come from a teacher, counselor, employer, mentor, or coach and should be in a sealed envelope.
