This scholarship is for high school senior females who have been accepted by an accredited educational institution and have a 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale. Local Douglas County residence is preferred, but not required. Additionally, the intent for this specific scholarship is to provide support for students who may not have had as many opportunities inside and/or outside of school as others (i.e. they are unable to participate in as many extracurricular activities as their peers because they work or have other obligations at home, etc.).

The Contest is open to all college-bound, high school seniors who submit an essay application through a Chapter of the Fraternity. The essay must be original and neither previously published nor secured by copyright. The essay must be between 700 and 750 words in length. The type-written, double-spaced essay may be submitted via postal service or email in Microsoft Word. All submissions will be reviewed by your local Chapter (determined by your high school/home address). Submissions will not be accepted after October 15, 2021. Do not change or shorten the essay topic.
