There are so many opportunities to be engaged in literacy this summer! Help prevent the "summer slide" by participating in our summer reading challenge. You can do one or both!
The Douglas County Public library is offering their traditional summer reading program. It will run June 1st - July 31st for all West Ga Regional Libraries. Register beginning May 27. More information is linked here: https://wgrls.org/summer-reading-program/
The Douglas County Loves Literacy Summer Reading Beanstack Challenge runs from 5/17-7/31. Students should read and log 100 minutes per week in Beanstack to contribute to our community wide goal of reading 10 Million Minutes this summer! High school students and adults not able to access Beanstack through Classlink can use this link to log in to Beanstack and complete the community challenge with your local library! Search for the West Georgia Regional Library to get your account started.
Check out our Summer Literacy Pop-Up Events as well! The first one is at Jessie Davis Park from 6-7 pm on June 3.
